Phillip Blackstone was given the nickname Mountain because of his size in relation to everyone else on the reservation he grew up on. Phillip Blackstone worked as a bouncer at a local club. He peddled drugs in the club on behalf of his biker gang, The Tomahawk Nation. A fellow bouncer found out, and had him fired and arrested. In retaliation, Phillip and a couple of members of his gang beat that man to death. That man, Todd Wilkinson, ended up becoming an Ambient Being as a result of his death. This brought him back to life and gave him Ambient Dimension based powers. He used his powers to exact revenge, killing Phillip Blackstone and the two associates involved in Todd Wilkinson’s death.
Phillip’s death activated his own dormant Ambient Gene, resurrecting him back to life and giving him Ambient Dimension based powers. His development of the Ambient Gene is a result of being exposed to high traces of Ambient Stone found within the lands of his reservation.
Todd Wilkinson became part of a super-group of Texas Rangers known as The Ranger 6. Phillip and Todd remain enemies, on opposite sides of the law.
Powers and Abilities:
Phillip is an Ambient Being, which means that his cells absorb energy from the Ambient Dimension and convert it into his unique power set.

- Geokinesis, the ability to telekinetically control rock, sand, and Earth: He can propel rocks of various sizes, cause sand to move in windy formations, and create tremors and openings in the Earth.
